Original Title: HALLOWEEN (2007)
RUNNING TIME: 94 minutes.
Years ago, I created a combo edit of Rob Zombie's "Halloween" and "Halloween 2," which I titled "The Devil's Eyes."
That version is now long gone because I later made a new edit using Adobe software.
There is a significant difference between Zombie's first "Halloween" and the sequel he released in 2009.
The first film had a 2.40:1 widescreen aspect ratio, while the sequel had a 1.85:1 aspect ratio.
Additionally, the sequel had a significantly different quality, featuring a coarse image with excessive noise.
Because of this, I had to crop the 2009 sequel.
Recently, I took the edit offline to upgrade it to 4K resolution.
After much consideration on how to approach the editing, I have decided to release the films separately.
In the previous release, I edited young Michael's scenes in a flashback and presented them in black and white.
This approach has changed in the new version.
In this 4K release, I’ve flipped the editing style by alternating between scenes of young Michael and adult Michael.
The quality is truly fantastic, which is one reason I decided to release them separately.
However, I feel the 4K quality for the sequel is not, in my opinion, 100% perfect.
But it is what it is, so I will be releasing it separately.
In this edit, I have mainly replaced the music with tracks by John Carpenter, alongside the original score by Tyler Bates.
The audio is in AAC 7.1 format.
