The initial plan was to release it as part of a double feature, but the decision was made to release the edited version separately. The new version is approximately one hour long and includes more blood and violence, as well as some re-scores by David Julyan. The trip to the forest has been trimmed down, and the first confrontation between the man and the gang has been removed. For this couple, the trouble begins when the gang steals their car for joyriding. The scene of the man breaking into a family's home has been removed, as it was deemed unbelievable, and some scenes have been completely re-scored.
