In 2018, I edited a workprint of the first season of "Mr. Mercedes."
This workprint was divided into two parts, with a total running time of approximately three hours.
I removed the lengthy conversations between Bill Hodges and his neighbor, and I completely cut out Brady Hartsfield's little brother.
For the flashbacks in the workprint, I chose to present them in black and white.
In 2020, I merged both parts into a single film.
Originally, the project consisted of 10 episodes, which I edited into one cohesive piece.
Recently, I decided to revisit the edit for a 4K upgrade. The 4K restoration was carried out using Topaz software.
For this version, I updated the credits and transformed the black and white flashbacks into full color.
The edit features a significant amount of music by Charlie Clouser, particularly selections from the "SAW" soundtrack.
Notably, the opening massacre involving the Mercedes is presented in its entirety, which wasn't the case in some previous prints.
The source for the 4K restoration was a Blu-ray, which was then enhanced with Topaz to achieve the highest possible quality.
Additionally, the sound has been upgraded to 7.1 surround sound.
There are two parts available for download, totaling approximately 90/95 minutes.
