In this edition, which I made in 2022, I have completely removed Arthur Fleck's neighbor from the narrative.
I have emphasized Fleck's debilitating loneliness, while his fantasies are placed more in the background.
Central to this story is his desire to become a popular comedian, but his attempts fail.
Additionally, the storyline has been adjusted in several ways; notably, in this version, his mother is his biological mother, not his foster mother.
His failures as a comedian and the humiliation he experiences ultimately lead him to a violent climax.
