In 2023, I created an entirely different version of A Clockwork Orange, titled Ultra Violence.
My goal was to portray Alex DeLarge as a psychopath consumed by fantasies of sadistic murder, rape, and bizarre pornography.
In this version, any reverence for Ludwig van Beethoven was completely eliminated.
All classical music was also removed from the film.
Before that, in 2016, I made a version with Wondershare Video Editor, but I couldn't technically implement everything I had envisioned for the project.
In this version, DeLarge commits suicide by jumping out of a window.
Additionally, all the footage that Alex is forced to watch in the original was replaced with new (graphic) content.
However, I eventually decided to scrap the 2016 edit because I felt it could have been technically improved.
In 2023, I completely reedited *Clockwork*, and this time, with the exception of one scene, I was 100% satisfied with the result.
I used Adobe Premiere Pro for the editing, and it was a tremendous amount of work to create a story that was entirely different from the original.
However, I kept agonizing over the scene where Alex Delarge is locked in the room of one of his former victims
because the interest and admiration for Beethoven had completely vanished from my narrative.
I believe the scene in my story didn't come together as well as I had hoped.
I can't recall what I did with the 2016 version, but in my story, Alex Delarge is constantly bombarded with the same music, which ultimately drives him to jump out of the window.
In the 2023 version, I used music by Thomas Bangalter.
What it comes down to is that I created a 4K version of *Ultra Violence*, and I think I improved that particular scene a bit.
Patrick Magee, who plays Mr. Alexander, and his staff are not shown at all in that room scene.
I think this approach is more believable than what I did in the 2023 version.
Overall, the entire edit has been polished again, as a 4K version of *Ultra Violence* was inevitable.
This year, I also made an edit of "LOCKED," a film starring Anthony Hopkins, titled *DOLUS*.
In this film, a character who is trapped in a car is repeatedly tortured with yodel music.
While editing the 4K version of *Ultra Violence*, it suddenly occurred to me that this yodel music would work perfectly in the scene with Alex Delarge.
Therefore, I removed the previous music, and now I have incorporated the yodel music from *DOLUS* into this scene.
All the added material has been converted to 4K.
However, like the 2023 1080p version, this 4K version contains many violent and pornographic scenes.
The credits and ending have also been slightly changed.
The 1080p version has been removed from the site.
